It is. I noticed quite a bit of bow fishing going on above the 301 bridge at the KG Caroline county line upriver when I crossed at night. I'm just now learning how to go after them with a rod. We have fished for catfish and have several pretty much no fail holes between Hopyard landing and the bridge. Kayaks are getting pretty popular too.
Hi darlin! If you are in South Stafford Hopyard Farms has a bulkhead to fish from that is relatively comfortable...just watch out for snags! There is also a pier in Port Royal right near the bridge between King George and Caroline county on the Caroline side.
LMAO 🤣! I wish I had a dime for every DNR shock study I've heard of. I'd be filthy rich! The fish are there, just gotta figure out how to get em to bite. Hell, we fished for giant muskies in Burke lake in Fairfax county that I SAW WITH MY Own EYES! No joy
If you are in south Stafford try Hopyard Farms in King George county. Bulkhead to fish from. Also Port Royal fishing pier, right near the bridge between King George and Caroline county.
Love the pics! Sorry for your hosts loss. I used to fly fish many many years ago. Tied my own flies too. But after fishing Alaska it just wasn't the same in the lower 48! Tight lines and following seas!
