Good morning fishing buddies! I currently live in Culpeper County ,Virginia I work in Fauquier. I personally enjoy pond fishing, small lake fishing, trout, bass, whatever else is edible :-) large catfish have been elusive to me for a number of years, but at age 55 I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

Welcome Freddy. Around here if your age starts with a 5, you're a kid, and nobody quits trying. BTW, we do love seeing pictures of your fish and ponds.

I hear they are some very large blue cats around fredaricksburg va. Haven’t ever been there but you might want to research it some.

Yes the Rap has some nice catfish. Easy access at the city dock. Ado a hot spot for the shad run.

Yes at the city dock. Also look up little falls boat ramp. There is a small pier. I have caught catfish, bluegill, yellow and white perch and striped bass there

Thank you sir! My dad taught me to fish when I was a kid, then he died when I was 15. It was many years before I went a hook. I fell in love with fishing again a few years ago and I'm having a blast!

There is also a pond in F'burg that gets stocked with trout. I don't remember the name, you can google it.
