Glad to help you get out & spend some money. I hope to try them tomorrow. I’ve honestly never seen or heard of them until this week. I found them at an Ollie’s store.

OJ,
As usual I messed up. It’s actually a Gliding Jig by VMC. 3/16 oz. They resemble a leech & has a pin for attaching a plastic bait. They are supposed to flutter. If my description doesn’t help you I’ll attempt to send you a pic. Thanks

Morning All,
Sorta on the same subject as the bottom bouncers. Does anyone have any info or advice on the bottom slider jigs ? I bought a couple this week & need some pointers. I’ve actually never heard of them until I saw them this week. Thanks

Codyjames & others,
I’m really terribly color blind so I don’t give a whit what it looks like to me. I have orange, white , black , & yellow rods of good quality. I simply put a particular reel , spinning or bait caster, on it & go !!! Works for me !!! My fishing partners never give me grief about it , but if they did I couldn’t care less. The fish certainly don’t seem to care. Tight Lines !!!

Hi Cubsfan,
The large mouth bass at a 6 acre pond that I fish are really picky. They prefer the small blue & black Strike King buzz bait for top water & the motor oil with chartreuse tail worms or lizards. The strike ratio is 10:1 against other colors of the same baits. Just for yucks I’ll occasionally try other colors but no joy.

Good morning Hawk,
A friend on mine has several light 14’ aluminum Jon boats on his 20-30 acre ponds near Demopolis Alabama & that’s all he uses. His electric trolling motors are 25-35 lb. thrust & those little batteries work really well.
One of his rules is you must bring battery to barn after you’re done fishing & put on a charger. I’ve used them on some of the ponds around my place also. You can’t use all of your electronic gizmos but for trolling they’re very good.

They may have been prevalent in the south. I remembered them being on most state & federal highways.

Thanks for the memories re: Burma Shave. I’m 73 & I remember them vividly. On US 43 south between Eutaw & Demopolis Al. a prominent cattleman has some in a pasture along the highway. The last time I went that way they were still up. He also does art exhibits with round bales of hay. Thanks
