Does gear uniformity matter to you?
I ask this question with rod & reel selection almost the only thing in mind. When I buy a rod or reel, I NEED the other piece of equipment to match or at the very least not clash with the look of the rod/reel. Like for example, if I have a Mojo Yak rod (Purple), I can't have a reel like the 13 Origin TX reel (Sea-foam Green). That's an extreme example but you get the point. I was curious as to how much a look of uniformity matters to others.

Yes, looks are super important to me and I don't think foam matches the industrial feel of high end baitcasters. That's partially my reason for also getting high end rods so you can get them carbon fiber 😅

You mean like the foam grips on a rod? I don't like them either. I buy Wynn gripped rods, if I can help it.

Yes it does. It's important to me because if the fishing happens to be slow, at least I can admire my rod. Pairing cork with cork is particularly nice for me. Cork reel knobs + cork rod handle = sexy.

A matching combo does look great, but in the end how well it fishes is what counts.

I like my gear to match. If a car that looks like garbage but runs well costs the same as a beautiful car that runs well I’m gonna buy the pretty car.

I was just going to say that I wouldn’t buy an ugly ass car just because it ran well, lol. Good if you have the money to buy an expensive rod and reel you will be hsing it for many years so you better like how it looks, after the feel and quality of course.

Well Now , if we must ? I’ve always preferred brightly colored rods . I think yellow or those orange carrot sticks (I get excited just thinking about that) are just Darling 😘. The brighter the better baby , they All Float my boat . But that sea foam green from St Cru sex , oooohhh that’s so hot in my hand . Oh yes I can’t wait to hold it. And if I can find a Red one that’s really Stiff well then it’s game over I’ll just buy it . It’s a fact boys fish like brightly colored matching rods and reels , but especially the rods . Long and stiff ohhhh soooo exciting to Shop. I love the spring time , it’s shopping heaven . Great topic .❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
