Cut them in half inch strip and smoke them. They smoke fast and make great snack food while going down river.
I like Key West boats. 19 ft center console, 115 Yamaha. Good for salt water and for fresh water as well.
I have found the old mesquito is what works most all the time for me on grayling. Others worked, but that was my go to when others didn't.
One of the charter boat captains from Pensacola makes videos. He said when he goes to a new area on vacation he always gets a charter first to see what works and where to fish. Then he goes out on his own.
Way to go! Nice salmon. In my book Coho is the best tasting salmon.
Very good reel. I still use mine after 15 years. It still catches fish.
I put electrical tape around spool first. It stays there when you want to change line as well.
I lived in Sitka, AK and caught halibut. I used heavy salt water rods 40 to 80# mono or braid (different rods) 6/0+ hooks, 12 to 20 oz lead (depending on current) and herring. Good luck.
I have used them in Alaska for grayling and trout. In my experience it was the absolutely best for those. I'd never leave the house without one in "0" and "1" size.
I live in Florida, we use a cooler with ice, put some water in it as well. Keeps fish fresh all day.
16 but I gave away my heavy salt water rods. (shoulda kept a couple of em. Now I have replace two.)
Use bigger lures, you might catch a wader.
Those work well. They caught another fisherman. :)
Wife caught one about 5#. It did taste good. Not like Pacific Salmon but none the less good tasting. Congrats on your catch.
