Just interested in what other anglers think. Not counting bass boats or aluminum skiffs. What is a great fishing boat?

Always go for an 19 - 23 ft center console. Angler, Mako, sailfish or any of the others. 90 to 250 Yamaha 4 stroke for quiet economical operation. A CC is by far the best boat to fish from.

I like Key West boats. 19 ft center console, 115 Yamaha. Good for salt water and for fresh water as well.

Your right on Jerry. Great bay boat and wonderful for fresh water as well. That boat draws about 14 inches and can go about anywhere. That 115 Yami is a great motor. Love mine.

The one u own ! If u like it it’s great ! To know any boat you have to use it awhile , most are bought on layout or style, price !
None are perfect but if style , layout is good for you then it’s a decent boat . Time will prove you correct or not !
Inshore or offshore makes a difference so again each model is a compromise !
Lund Great Lake boat but give me another style boat for offshore !

Walk around cabin with top! Great all around type with a toilet for the lady`s and shade in the heat of the day! Overnight sleeping area and still fish all around boat if big one bites! Not to mention high sides for offshore safety!

All depends on the type fishing you. Lakes, rivers, and flats my Carolina Skiff. Has plenty of room and doesn't take much hp to run it. Offshore I like the 32ft Well Craft CC with twin 300s

I have a SeaPro 17 CC with a 90hp Yamaha on a Venture Alum. trailer. Fish by myself most often; this rig is perfect for me.

That whaler is good for small lakes but don’t get caught on a larger lake with 4-5 ft waves. I know it’s unsinkable but you are going to get awful wet.

You must be referring to the older style whalers , I’ve owned all of them and that hull design was not kind in seas ! Getting wet was nothing compared to a hard ride , but I gotta say in a following seas not all that bad !
The new hull design is said to give a much better ride . I’ve never been on one so I cannot say for sure .
