Or Lake Michigan.

I would imagine the pnw is a better fishery than lake michigan for salmon

I dunno. The Kings (Chinooks) can get to some pretty nice sizes in Superior and Michigan. You also might catch big brownies, lakers, steelhead, or walleye, too.

I'm sure it is great and i've seen some awesome youtube videos of the michigan fishery. I'm just saying, in terms of the pacific salmon fishery, the pnw, british columbia and alaska are the top. Also the quality of the meat is significantly better than freshwater kings or coho.

That's a beauty, where did you catch it?

I love it when people learn how to do something properly and then have success while fishing. No better way to reinforce what they’ve learned, know that they’ve “got it”, and give them confidence. Great job!

Way to go! Nice salmon. In my book Coho is the best tasting salmon.
You caught your first salmon, and at the same time, would bet you just really got hooked on fishing.
Great job!

That’s a great fish! Especially when you do everything yourself! As for Michigan or you pnw what does it matter. Great job!
