I do’t know the area much (yet, but still hoping) but easiest place to get a license is online.
Aerial views of the beach there doesn’t show jetties, but you can get an idea of where holes and sandbars might be, and gauge where relative to certain streets or buildings.
I’m already here and still wanting go there; just want it be the best time.
Dropping in lines, here or in the river, I’ll be anxious to see what comes of it. Trout should be starting. I hope you do well enough to tell me about it.
Ah! Ok, I am out of it any more. I moved south fromw years ago. Even when I was still there, hadn’t flounder fished for quite a few years. I grew up at Jersey shore, and remember days of over 100 a day. Once a year, we’d also make trip to Quincy, MA where a couple hundred for the day was easy; along with some little codfish.
Those were the days. Freezer always had some Gish in it.
Flounder might be best bet right now, or white perch. Strippers be around too. The fluke and weals will be at least another month.
Decent fish?
I never met a fish I didn’t like.
Never had one step on my toes.
Use one of those brim. If alive, break a fin or two do swims funny. If dead, make sure use while fresh.
Yep, some spawn, some past, but bass are everywhere.
Either one, hooked with Livescope really be great.
The shad are terrific, maybe even the absolute best bait. Bluegills, perch, stink bait, chicken, even night crawlers have their place too.
Some good advice there. You’re talking about a terrific piece of water, with terrific amount of fish. I wish I could join you.
It’ll change. You won’t always catch fish but will more often when you understand and think like the fish
