Tocino, thank you for responding, and welcome to FS. I see you have been a member since Jan., but don’t recall seeing any of your posts. (I don’t recall lots of other things either. Lol)
Yes, we are all dealt a measure of faith (ROM. 11:3). The other “exception to the rule” would be a sinner’s prayer for forgiveness/
salvation.
We have another FS member that has told me something very much like what you just posted, about not being a believer because he simply could not change a lifetime of unbelief, unless God did something to change his mind. He once said he “could not say I believe if I don’t; that would make me a hypocrite.”
Having been raised in church my whole life, and having seen miracles and experienced God’s blessings through a majority of my life, it is natural and easy for me to believe, but for him to believe, I understand how difficult it must be to relate. He and I have had many “religious” discussions as have other FS members and I, but I wonder if your personal experiences and testimony might be more acceptable or relatable to a person like this. I don’t want to mention his name without talking to him first, but I’m sure if he reads this post, he will know it’s he that I’m talking about. Our discussions have always been public on this forum.
Would you be open to the idea of talking to him if he is interested?
You can answer on this thread if you wish, or PM me if you prefer.
Thank you for your consideration of this idea. God bless you,
Randy. 🙏🏻
