In all respect, my topic wasn't about where power is sent even though it is stated that Southwestern Power Administration that gets power from the White River dam system does indeed send it's produced power to Oklahoma and Texas, but rather the issue of groups putting citizens who have paid for a product to be produced and supplied, in danger of injury or death in the name of clean energy.
When our local Serria club leaders stated this past year as our local and most modern and clean burning coal fired power plant was shut down, was not their intention, to me the problem is that we were not prepared with alternative power sources to replace what was and is being removed from service to keep us as citizens safe and also to keep the U.S. moving forward.
It is hard to believe that a city like Nashville is dealing with this type of a situation in soon to be 2023. I also felt this way about Texas and other places that have dealt with rolling blackouts and total power failure due to upgrades not being accomplished. Those of us that pay our power bills timely should be able to rely on ample supply to stay safe especially when conditions require the need.

My name is Tiffany and my dad, Keith, used to send me words of wisdom from this site every week. Everyone who contributed to this community had a huge impact on my dad. He would laugh and laugh at your stories and always shared the best ones with my brother, Kevin, and I.

He passed away unexpectedly last night and I just felt like I had to make sure this community knew how much laughter your posts brought my family and I.

This story happened during World War II and the Allied Armies had pushed their way into Germany. During a lull in the fighting, a U.S. Army truck had been captured by the German forces. Upon examination of the contents by some German field grade officers, they were surprised and shocked to find among all the other items a Chocolate Cake, sent just 6 days prior for the birthday of an American soldier at the front.
Upon examination of this cake and realizing it had only taken 6 days from Iowa to the battlefront, one of the higher-ranking German officers said, “Well, we have lost the war because any force that has such amazing logistics to deliver a non-essential birthday cake will overwhelm our forces.
German troops at the front were sorely pressed for any kind of supplies, from ammunition, first aid, food, anything! And yet Americans can get delivery over many thousand miles of non-essential birthday cakes in 6 days! Just Sayin…RJS

Well, fishermen and sports fans, I have been a member since December 30, 2019, and have posted more than 1,000 stories of varying quality and interest to you.

As of late, and consulting with close friends, we have discussed the timing and frequency of posting articles. Whether there are too many? I don’t choose to intentionally offend anyone but there is a difference is trying to offend and stating a personal belief.
But I do have a very active imagination and it wins out sometimes.
