Intercoastal channel runs sort of north and south. Next bridge to the north is the Tom Stuart and the VA or Bay Pines hospital on the right. Have to sit down with chart/map and show ya. Work the Famous Johns Pass bridge. Get up into the docks and bridge fenders, find where the old bridge posts are at. In the middle porpoise feed, wont catch anything there.
Doing your homework! Sounds like your boat is working fine too! Now you know around the islands where the sunbathers hang out on the sandbar and the dolphin chase mullet around. Mostly a bait zone and at sunrise a few trout up on shallow points and bars. Think outside that box to the Tom Stuart Causeway bridge. Tight Lines
Those bites were tiny pin fish by the thousands, move around a little and find deeper water. Your so warm!
Lot of sand or shallow water grass flats by them islands in the middle. Docks to the north into channels where the commercial boats go to unload. South go to second channel and fish docks at the corner in three or four docks then move south to next channel and work them outer docks. To Central Ave bridge and to Park St. and Central Ave. the little bridge with lots of lights. Johns Pass bridge is one hot spot if you figure out how to fish the tides. Beware of sand bars!
Where did you fish? Ft. Desoto, downtown or beach areas? Lizard fish mostly sandy bottom areas holding bait fish. How bout this which boat ramp?
Fished there decades ago and caught huge bream not so many bass around Lake George. Work the chain of lakes and fish the most productive spots. That`s what we did, two days fishing around and found huge bream bed to finish week out. This time of year crappie waiting to be caught, sure the local bait house will fill in some info.
Bus`s trips to local Casino, check your wallet! Keeps getting thinner every time unless your one lucky soul.

Welcome Happydaze, Hudson fisher? We are base by Anclote and fish Tampa bay to Aripeka. Used to use Love Lure pink curly tails and now DOA swim baits and one long white one that looks like a ballyhoo weedless. So much grass floating from bait shrimpers you need to be weedless and hide hook point.
