A beach rod is way different than inshore.
Blues will hit anything shiny, even a naked hook. Now that's fishing! 🎣
Learning how to correctly tie various knots set me free. There's nothing more embarrassing than making a cast a watching your favorite luer go flying off into the distance.
I've had fried lion fish that was good. I also like sheepshead, blues and mullet.
Of all these years I didn't know saltwater cats were edible. The ones we used to catch on the east coast of Florida were thrown back. Their barb produced a wicked nasty venomous sting where the pain lasted for days and often produced a wart on the skin. We also threw blowfish back but now I hear they are a delicacy. Like the old lady on the Wendy's commercials used to say, "where's the beef?"
Welcome from Woodstock Ga. We are just getting the first breath of fall this weekend after hurricane 🌀 Sally came through and filled all of the creeks. I'm hoping that the cooler weather will get the lazy bass on the move.
Don't put catfish in your pond. They are gluttons. Look at the shore line at different times of the day and look to see what kind of bait fish are there and how plenty. And as previously mentioned, check with the wildlife experts on how to maintain the waters. The good news is that you are asking. I wish i had one. You are very fortunate. I would install a fire ring and grate for the fresh catch. Oops, is this California? No fire ring for you.
why? Fish don't mind if they get wet.
I don't understand why gear is as expensive as it is. It's mostly made in China 🇨🇳
Take a VACATION and go fishing 🎣 but make sure to take acurate weights for your catch or the warden may ruin your day.
Saltwater catfish? They are poison.
