Hello, pretty sure Lingcod closed on the 15th of June. Most of the Coho are residents, the run of larger fish usually picks up in August out in area six where I live.
Have not heard anything, check Puget Sound creel reports. I can sometimes get a idea by looking at surveys in the area.
I always use it, I get a better hook set.
Thanks all, I realized I did not give a location, I was in the Port Angeles area.
Not huge but I'm happy 13lbs of meat.Season is almost over.
That response definitely makes my point. Just keep repeating the same thing, that will make it the truth.
Of course the land and resources used to grow that ( non edible corn ), does impact food cost. Your reply is the standard answer. I also am not happy with myself for responding to your comments as this should be about fishing and not polital discussion.
It will be open throughout June or until the quota set by WDFW is reached. Be sure to check the marine weather on a site like Fishweather and tides on a site like Tides4fishing.

Halibut is open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays thru June in most of the marine areas. WDFW updates and seasons.
There is good halibut fishing in the straight, Port Angeles, Coyote Bank. Look online and study. Guided fishing off the coast would be fun and probably much greater success rate.
Don't know where your at,there are great oysters all over Washington state. Another person mentioned Willipa, I personally know oyster farmers who grow in pristine water..
Small jigs and tube jigs if Lakers are there. Don't always stay shallow.
The 1/4 is fine,I have always tied a barrel swivel to the mainline and then use about a 18 inch leader tied directly to the lure. The action gained by directly tying to the lure is worth the extra effort.
