Got some single selects for supper tonight. I know a lot of you are turning up your noses at this but if you are from the coast you are drulling.

My nose is purely JEALOUS. I love oysters. I don’t want them raw. BBQ til they pop open is my favorite. Add little hot sauce or like scuba divers recommend Italian dressing… so good

I love oysters Gordon but I stopped eating them when I moved to the west coast. Every oyster bed I saw was, directly, down hill from raw, running, sewer line on the coast. Hopefully your coast has a little better regulations. We did find some wild one on the San Juan islands but it was illegal to take em. We used to order them from down around your way when I was a kid but I won’t touch these sewer rats off the west coast. The shell are about the same size but the meat inside is about 1/3 of what you’re showing here. I sure miss having the good ones.

Awesome Gordon. I'm mostly a clam guy, but gotta try some oysters more often. Love your clam knife!

Considering the east coast was settled before the west there is more sewage but oysters can’t survive in acidic water anyway. Goosepoint / Nesbit is my favorite. They are grown in the Wilipa Bay. No combined sewage outlet anywhere near this west coast oyster company. Read up on Oysters. They will not survive in PH that sewage is.

Great post. Thanks for sharing Gordon.

Love oysters, wife makes oyster stuffing for the thanksgiving turkey. They’re darn expensive up here.

Drooling, slobbering, and salivating here Gordon. Raw is the way to go with some horse radish and ketchup mix to give them a little kick.

Do you deliver? Or is this carry out only?

You only need one oyster if you eat it raw just tie a string to it pull it up and swallow it again
