Two groups of people we need to thank during this chaos:
- grocery clerks
- truckers

Why are people buying cases of bottled water in these troubled times? Is it because they fear faucet failure?

I really want to think most intrusive behavior is due to ignorance and not intentional.
The a-holes are easy enough to identify once they open their mouths.

There’s a protocol on the hog line that’s got nothing to do with what’s keeping you afloat. Many years ago my father decided he was going salmon fishing and since the hog line ran half way across the river (same one that has apparently moved north to Seattle) he anchored above them which meant he was fishing beneath the boats. Oh boy! He was educated real quick like. Never again was that mistake made.

Exactly my point I was trying to make. I’ve had’em toss an anchor ten feet from my boat and not say a word.

It may seem selfish, but if I’m on a crowded lake that’s pounded and I was successful, I switch the lure on my rod to something I never used before I dock. The first thing I see fellas do is eyeball what’s on the rod.

Fellow decided he wanted to bag a bear so he set out in the woods. Soon enough he sees a huge bear sleeping across the canyon. He nervously raises his rifle and takes a shot and missed by a mile. The bear wakes up pissed as hell and comes charging. The bear knocks the fellow down who pleads for his life. The bear thinks about it and sez, “You’ve got a choice. I can rip your head off or I have my way with you.” The poor hunter decides on the latter.
Next day the humiliation is too great and the hunter decides to get a bigger rifle and some revenge.
So he heads back into the woods and soon enough spots the same bear. Taking aim he torches off a round. Missed again! The bear jumps him in the blink of an eye.
“Okay, you know routine, pal.” sez the bear.
Next day the hunter buys a scope for the rifle, sights it in and heads out again with blood in his eye.
Glory be! He spots the same bear sleeping on a hillside. This time the hunter lays the rifle over a log and takes careful aim squeezing the round off. Boom! Missed again.
The annoyed bear comes ambling over, swats the terrified hunter and sez, “You ain’t out here for the hunting are you?”

Wish I was. Legal to buy mole traps; illegal to use them. And all leg hold traps are strictly forbidden.

There should be a season on the darn things, but you gotta know it’s illegal to even trap moles digging up your front yard in our wonderful Washington state.

During the salmon migration the sandbars at the mouth of the Columbia are black with thousands of seals. Docks have been destroyed under their accumulated weight. At dams and places where the fish congregate they’ll take a bite and
move on. They are doing what the cormorants are doing to our lakes.
The so-called animal rights groups up here congratulate themselves on keeping it that way. Gotta wonder what happens when the $port$ fishing industry dries up.

If you have a boat, start across the lake and slowly let all the line out and watch it disappear because you didn’t tie it to the spool.
