I would put it on the bow so you can relax in back of the boat.
This website gives us information and comments from all over the country by people with widely varying interests and experiences with fishing, or just with life. Thanks to whoever is running this site. Meanwhile, we can sit around and read about the poor people of Ukraine dealing with Russia's invasion. Unbelievable but true.

You're welcome Gordon. I find it interesting and educational to hear people from all over the US talk about their fishing adventures, the weather, and other stuff of interest mostly to old guys like me. Best to all of you out there.
I hunted birds and taught my sons to do so until my knees and my dog gave out. I gradually got more fun out of fishing than hunting and my sons are now doing the same. In my old age I don't want to kill animals but I still enjoy eating fish and meat. Fishing is easier than hunting and is still fun in old age. Mostly listening to you old guys telling fish stories😎.
68*F on Tillamook County beaches last Saturday, no wind, lots of tourists from Portland but still enjoyable. Paradise is where you find it.
The girls should inquire to their credit card company, which likely has long arms to help get them their money back. Credit card companies make millions off us so they should help us out. Go Girls!
Troll 5mph no more than 30 ft behind
If it doesn’t work try a Wiley lure.
I have one, can’t stand it, thanks to your encouragement I wil try to ignore it.
Agree with comments above. They were either back trolling or anchored fishing with plugs like quick fish or diver+ eggs or shrimp.
You will enjoy it but possibly not catch a fish. Early in run. Much to learn from guide, ask questions. Enjoy the NW but dress warm and dry.
Set the drag to let out line with a mild pull. When fish hits and starts taking line just put a little pressure on the line with your thumb, increase drag with star drag if needed but use the leverage of the rod to tire the fish out.
