Well all that safety stuff is to much for me. I'll just be a fair weather fisherman than. I don't care for the cold at all. Wear this don't wear that and keep these loose . Way to much for my little brain. With all that how do you remember to grab your gear?? I would forget everything. Then you say the water is cold if you fall in heck no baby. Wait till it's warm. Just this boys opinion. Lol. If You guys do fish on the ice please be safe. And show some pictures of the fish and all that gear you wear to do it.

Pecan Pie, love it but not my favorite. I'm more of the Pennsylvania Dutch pie guy. Shoofly Pie and mincemeat pie for me please. Those are both Vintage in the Amish country.

Thanks guys. A patent would be a cool idea. Id love to fit canoes out . its been a fun project and the look on some people's faces are priceless. There is more to come by all means but the next few parts will cost me some money and of course that is in short supply.

Yes its going to be a spring trip. Yes its marine plywood . used oil base primer with mold and mildew repellant in it and 2 coats of oil base top coat. It is basically my trial version before I put it on an aluminum frame and carpet it. Best part of this whole project is that I have had all the materials so far and only had to buy a few fasteners.

Yes the casting deck works great. You can stand on it No problem. The cooler saddle (as I call it ) keeps everything from tipping over. My friends and I are setting up a 3 day trip down the Shenandoah River 30 miles 3 days of fishing . can't wait. 7 guys 3 canoes and 1 yak. Should be epic . the coolers will get a work out then

The grill is coming some how. Yes coolers act as stabilizers . and casting deck is fun. Can walk all the way to the cooler and not flip. I launch this thing out of a couple of areas but mostly in middle river at wilson point

Bought this 16 foot canoe at the beginning of fall. Had it out a few times. Liked it, but thought it needed a few things. So the building began. Its not quite done yet !!! The deck will be replaced hopefully this winter again with aluminum instead of 2x2. Also with carpet over the deck. And the motor mount will also get redone to aluminum base and probably a piece of teak wood. I will install an anchor trolley for the spike and a few other things later this winter.
