Thank you,I will try both and let you know if it works.
I have a question about several heavily WEEDED lakes in my PA area as to how to fish them from land (boats aren't allowed).I KNOW THERE ARE HUGE FISH in there but there is a massive amount of Lilly pads as well as other thick plant life as to you can't even see the water. My question is how to fish it with out getting snagged as well as getting the line in the water past the heavy plants?Anyone have any ideas? As stated if I can some how clear out a spot from all this plant life as to cast & the fish can see the bait I know I can land some big fish.
Thanks👍 will do,give it a try.
Ugly stick I have had mine for over 20 years and it's still going strong.
Thanks,I have my old faithful 20 year old UGLY STICK but some of my fishing friends suggested to try the pitch in stick &I must say for $8.00 it was fun to land a larger fish on it but as I stated you have to change the reel to a better reel a little heavier line to be able to bring the fish in.
Thanks,it jumped several times, like the pitch & stick Shakespeare rod but had to change the reel the drag was not that great & reeling in larger fish on a short stick is a challenge but fun.
Yes I throw it back,at times I keep them to eat but I'm selective as to the waters I eat them from.
NICE CATCH 👍 MUST HAVE BEEN COUGHT ON AN UGLY STICK!

I'm hooked on THE UGLY STICK,THAT'S THE ONLY ONE FOR ME or any Shakespeare product!
Ugly stick you can't beat it!
This bass was caught on my ultra lite set up in only 3ft of water.I just bought a pitch & stick rod & put on a ultra lite reel both made by Shakespeare. On the ultra lite set up it put on quite a fight.
Thank you texDanm for your reply do you know approx what year my reel was made?
I just picked up this meisselbach Elyria reel at a garage sale for $5.00 I KNOW it was a good deal but I was wondering what year this model was made, how much it went for back in the day & what is it's worth today? It is in pretty good condition for it's age.I want to clean it up a bit & take some on the minor rut off any suggestions what I can use to clean it up?
