More info on my meisselbach reel

I just picked up this meisselbach Elyria reel at a garage sale for $5.00 I KNOW it was a good deal but I was wondering what year this model was made,how much it went for back in the day & what is it's worth today?It is in pretty good condition for it's age.I want to clean it up a bit & take some on the minor rut off any suggestions what I can use to clean it up?

You can clean them up with a GENTLE application of an SOS pad or oooo steel wool. They are nice old reels and make interesting conversation pieces. I occasionally take out some of my old knuckle busters for a little fishing and nearly always will get a few comments.
