Took a ride today to Don Pedro .had to put 100 miles on my truck for Calif,smog since I changed the Battery it passed took, some pictures of the lake @ Moccasin area they told me in about 3 weeks ramps will be out of the water

Got to Spring Lake this morning at 6:30am it was cool and cloudy 61 degrees, here in Ca. We have had very hot weather all week till today it finally cooled off today! Started out fishing the same spot that I’ve had a lot of action! On my second cast this morning I caught a nice one! It was 3pnds. After a few more cast I caught a 6pnder! Fished for a few more hours with out any more bites, there was a lot of kayaks and float tubes on the lake, I meet a real nice guy Fernando, he ask me what I was using to catch with and I told him what I was using (rubber Craw) a few minutes latter he came back holding up a fish and said this is because you! I was like no worries great catch, after I caught my second fish I new Fernando was fishing just up around the Tullis so I called out asking if he had a scale, Fernando came over and we weighed my catch! After a half hour Fernando came back with a 3pnder, he ask me to take a photo of his catch and thank me again for telling him what to use! I told Fernando about the Fishing Stage hopefully he will sing up! Great day at Spring Lake! Good luck and be safe!!

Ben invited me out to fish the Napa with him and I took him up on it and I must say I’m glad I did! We hit the water and we were fishing by 7:15 and had a fish on within minutes! We had about a dozen shorts, 4 that came off and another 4 keepers by 9:06. Thats 16 fish landed in 1 hr 50 minutes of fishing, calculates to a fish every 6.8 minutes, and that’s without our Sensei, Saw1 (Steve). It was quick, beat the heat and limited out, not sure how to beat that (maybe larger fish, but I’m not greedy).

Many of the pics are of the shorts and, of course, the keepers. I think Sensei would be proud!

Hello All, this is my first post so bear with me.
Because of my physical impairments, I had to sell my boat at Santa Cruz harbor several years ago. I sure miss all the salmon, Halibut, and lingcod. Being said, I miss fishing and need to go back to trout fishing that I use to do while years ago before buy my boat for salt water fish. The problem is, places I use to fish for trout no longer plant trout, and to make things even worst, we have been in a drought for several years and there is not much fishing anywhere near me.
Any suggestion on where I can fish for trout within a 50-75 radius from where I live in Morgan Hill, California. I will need to be a place where I have easy access to get to the water. Like I said before, I do have some physical impairments that prevents me from rough terrain to get to the water.

It was a glorious day to be fishing, cool, low humidity, light breeze, water starting to cool off, 78°-80°. Notice I said fishing, and not catching. Very slow bite today, first 3 spots, nothing but nibblers. Had to hit the brush pile for my skunkbuster, and big fish of the day 1.75lbs. Devan wasn't having any luck either. I hit 4 deep spots and had a few weak hits on the dropshot, but no solid hits, probably more panfish. Marked a lot of bait schools but only rare solitary bigger fish. Couldn't get any to bite. Devan got to explore the lake a little and try out his new fishfinder. On the return pass back to the north end, I hit one more off a tree near the brush pile and Devan busted his skunk with a nice Gill. I think he really likes the lake and the speed limit, so no idiots on the water. Actually it was crowded today, maybe 8 or 10 boats.

In the sense of fishing 🎣 always enjoy getting out with friends and fishing 🎣
Landed a total of 5 Stripers only one keeper my first fish and also was the keeper is 24 inch maybe 5lb I caught casting
Ben catches a fish probably 20 inch but me not familiar with his boat and trying to turn on the live well cause him to loose it 🥵 a little while after that we started trolling and that’s when we started getting all the shakers 🐠 between the two of us landed around 8 fish 🐠 all under size but it was a good day out

Got lucky today fishing.
In my boat, with livescope, 20 ft water,
In exposed stumps, 2” live minnows”, overcast sky’s, 8am till 11am, found slow biting crappie. Came home with 10 keepers, let 4 small go. Barely felt bite. 10’ crappie pole with braid, split shot and crappie hooks.
Fish were about 15’ + deep.
Only had 10 minnows, reused several. Tried several 1-2” jigs, different colors, no hits. Never fished this spot before but once a week I’m out there trying
Relative has lake house there so I fish often.
Guys don’t give up, keep trying.
Some days I get skunked.
