So true, one would never know looking at my old worn out frame that at one time I was destined to play for the Chicago Bears. Then that unfortunate thing happened.
They never asked! 😆
Ben, direct HR and Insurance to speak only to your attorney! Having had a work injury myself letting the lawyer do his gig he will keep you safely out of liability.
There is enough Fentanyl coming across the border each year to kill our whole population and it seems at time the penalty is a slap on the wrist and often they are back out on the street with people even losing their lives to these released people.
While I do agree there is a serious drug problem in parts of the US, I have to disagree with the above statement. If it is a fact why are we here and not dead?
I believe drug addiction and death stats are overstated. If in fact those stats were true we would be losing more people than with COVID-19 annually. While big-pharma is responsible for the predominant addictions in rural America.
Maybe we need to eliminate the reasons most folks need drugs to deal with their life first and sales will naturally go away.

If I do that the engine will never start with the fork inserted only when the fork is out.
A normally open switch is a nonconducting circuit in its operating state.
It requires an action to change its state to closed, which would be the fork to be removed.
I can see this switch wired to the positive lead to the coil then to ground but only on a tiller engine.
Thanks Fred, you are correct; my reading was unclear in my head. Still might hook one up.
Anyone see a problem with grounding the run circuit to shut the engine down?
Depends on the year of the boat. PA has a year cutoff.
A fish that size and I would have called a tow truck to haul it in!

Just the opposite.
Sounds like it's wired into the wrong line.
Switch the wires on the deadman.
Possibly a bad switch. Or your using the wrong wires.

Can you check volages?
It’s new and potted. Thinking now to splice into run circuit with red leg and black leg to ground.
[quote=Blackdog]What happens when you pull the fork?
Still open?
Fork out continuity, fork in no continuity
It is an open circuit with fork in place. That is what is making me crazy!
Coast Guard mandatory for all powered watercraft under 20’ nationwide.
Now that these things are required can anyone offer ideas for install?
The one I have is a normally open switch. In other words when the lanyard and fork is pulled out the switch makes but in operation that circuit is open. There are only two wires.
For the life of me I can’t think how to mount without using a relay to ground out some circuit.

So far I have avoided any skin issues due to sun exposure. On the other hand due to my former occupation which could require some weeks more than 20 flights, and monthly trips overseas I paid the price with cataracts. Had them both done this fall. Amazed how well my vision is but also how I can barely withstand being outside on a cloudy day without sunglasses. So it’s not only your skin that can pay the price. I hear welders have to deal with skin and eye issues as they age. Not fun.
So for me it’s big hat and sunglasses with sunscreen. At 65 I am not afraid to make use of the Bimini at mid day and afternoon.
Welcome Chuck. Hope to hear news from your area in the future!
