I know, its BS I never (or I'll leave) fish within 60 yards of any other fisher. Not that desperate, got plenty of places I almost never see another fisher.
I do agree with your assumptions, however I believe the drought and corresponding ocean conditions are quite possibly THE main problem with our diminished runs at this time. Just my take.
