Sorry I didn’t get back to this sooner grizz. Fishing there is about the same as everywhere else. I have had excellent days there and others are so so. I do always catch fish of some kind. Have been told that there are fish in there that will scare you but they sure would be fun to hook
And we had such a good day. Rats
First she says go fish, then she says quit. Just can’t please her
Nice catch. Heading that way over Labor Day,hope we do as well
Welcome mermaid, Haven’t been down that way in a couple years, but had really good luck on the shanendoah(not sure on the spelling) around Front Royal
We have a lot of Amish meat markets around here that make their own with maple syrup. Delicious
My dad always told me that if I want it done right then do it yourself. Funny how after you retire they always find someone to replace you no matter how unreplacable you were
I like Glendale a lot better and it has a pile of fish in it
lol. Big body of water. My boat isn’t big enough to be out on there. I just have a 16 footer with a 9.8 motor. Too many big boats out there for me
It is also known as a curly tail jig. Very popular in this area for smallmouth and crappie
Morning grizz. I never fished the dam itself, I have fished the river above it for trout and below it for bass and walleye.been quite a few years since I have done that though
I do 2or3 trips for trout. I would much sooner go for bass. It’s a lot better since I retired,I can pretty much go when it’s not so crowded
Got some of that here too but I do have permission for most of it.
Sorry to hear you have to go that far and put up with the w rats. I am lucky in that regard. Pretty rural here, lots of farms. I can actually walk to bald eagle creek if I’m looking for trout or smallies. It’s about 200 yards from my front door
