Fishing Creek Reservoir Looking good this year anyone? Looking for bites, not opposed to a good fight with some carp for fun. Would like to hook some up to take away though. Everywhere seems a bit over crowded this season. We’re in the North Western region of Virginia, so no opposition to laying down the miles for some decent spots….suggestions?
Welcome to the Stage, Mermaid! I'm in NoVa (Fairfax) and I agree, every public body of water up here is pressured, even Anna and Moomaw (although I fished Lake Frederick recently and had a productive day). My recommendation at least for VA are tidal waters in the E-SE parts of the state like the mid to upper James, Chicahominy, Pamunkey. Fish are always on the move so they're not as pressured from being clustered in one spot. A (long) day trip down there for me.
