will be going up there in two weeks any info on how to catch smallies/ walleyes/ drums? would be appreciated never fished these waters before ???? taking a bass tracker fishing pontoon set up.
that would be a mud puppy or a freshwater eel don't care for either one
pumpkin seed with red flake & silver
nice pic explaining polamara knot 5 stars on that one buddy!!!
that knot is called a polarma knot great all-around knot to use its not so hot on a braided line unless you use a drop of super glue on the knot itself .dont recommend this type of knot on the braid to fluorocarbon!
yes have fished it numerous times the best place to put in is at vandilla bay if you put in at the marina state park main entrance you have to pay to get to use their marina launch ramp any of the back coves are good watch out over 50% of the lake is no-wake zone so kinda remember that when getting back allow time for this or you will be caught out there after dark trying to get back into boat ramp.
they are some great jokes love the produce section been there done that l.o.l.
we call them here in w.v. red eyes or rock bass they love night crawlers
great video good info did not know about spoon hook ups good stuff to know!
just maybe he thought he had a floating truck & he was just to turn around Duuuuh!
bought two yrs. ago 16 ft. bass buggy tracker pontoon ,love it easy to trailer load & unload & bac up, have 2 pestedal seats up front, 55 lb, thrust trolling motor, hook 4 fish finder, liv well , 40 hp merc runs about 35 mph.top speed good on gas have caught lg. mouth small mouth ,catfish perch .blue gill ,musky u name it put rod holders up front on rails for trolling as well easy to maneuver in small coves sits 7 people strong winds can push it around at times, but that's normal for any aluminum boat .
truly a hard fighting fish when caught on light line they will test your abilities on landing a big fish .BIG TIME !
got snagged bank fishing one year on a state park lake was using a custom made thin spoon , remembered I had a water mattress in the back of trunk, took my shoes socks stripped down to my white tighties swam out on mattress with my line in hand, unsnagged my lure .wife thought it was hilarious watching me swimming out there, don't care I got my lure back
yes I agree with Charlie W.V., I too was a nonboater here in w.v. for over 3 years we also shared the front of the boat 4 hrs, sometimes I declined to fish the front of the boat , there's always plenty of water behind you .p.s. I always asked my fellow angler to launch his boat, as well as other boaters that's a tremendous help getting the guys on the water as fast as possible , you are not by any chance casting your lures in there fishing zone are you ? ,nothing makes a bass angler more furious then crossing there lines or crowding there fishing water ,as well as talking too much while fishing. hope this helps
good tips & info for any angler to know & memorize
