You might p.m. West Virginia Mike he goes up there once or twice a year I believe. last year we used spoons slow trolling for walleye caught a few drum and one nice size Channel cat all on spoons. Google an YouTube is your friend 👍 can't say I've ever seen a pontoon boat on Lake Erie when I've been there course water was a little rough.
drum...otherwise known as sheephead around here.If you know some walleye tactics back home, they should work on erie.Ask at the marina where everyones been going to fish...they;re kinda shallow right now, and after dusk its been hot.Normal and basic patterns for the other fishies. If you're serious about a pontoon boat, dont go past the first breakwalls if its windy out.Good luck and show us them pics!
you got it brother going to use a drift sock as well on lake Erie, winds can push aluminum boats around pretty good know that for a fact!!! This pontoon is a 16 ft. 55 lb. thrust trolling motor with a 50 h.p. , fishing pkg. live well /fishfinder upgrade largest pontoons on the market 6 in. draft, if winds are over 12 miles an hour or gusts of 15 will cancel the trip up there, or be forced to fish in bay area only not particular what species of fish to catch just want to catch fish, if you know what I mean thank you for all the input & info
