Sorry for the silly question, I should know this but I forgot. What is the name of the knot that you start by tying a loop in the eye of the hook, looping the loop back over the jig, and then finish tying it. Supposed to be a super strong knot and I'm hopefully gonna need it in a couple hours.

Good illustration pic Greenfrog. I keep this and the perfection loop illustration on my computer. When you don't tie the knot every day or at least once a month a memory reference is handy.

If i forget where the on switch is to the computer, just shoot me.

Definitely a Palomar. I have tied it thousands of times. Very good knot cause when you synch up by pulling on the the tail, all the line that rubbed together is trimmed off.

Looks like a Palomar. Taste like a Polamar. Smells like aPolamar. Then it must be a Polamar. But, if you're still not sure, try Lindsey Philpott's book "The Complete Book of Fishing Knots". You can get it on Amazon for about $10. Reed and learn.

that knot is called a polarma knot great all-around knot to use its not so hot on a braided line unless you use a drop of super glue on the knot itself .dont recommend this type of knot on the braid to fluorocarbon!
