it's been long enough ! In the

of our nicest ('Goldilocks')
weather is usually between
mid-February to mid-April
and between late-September
to early-November, so as soon
as I can manage it, I'll be hitting
the north country for trout !

on him means - he's taking after his grand-pa ! That look of bliss and contentment means he's already dreaming of hauling in those big
ol' bronzebacks fishing with his grandfather ! I had a very special
bond with mine - I hope you find
the same bond with him !

Yeah - those who could afford to do so ! Until my retirement, I couldn't ! Just really happy to get away from snow, ice and frigid weather - I'll take four months of heat over long, cold, miserable winters every time !
If I ever get desperate enough to see any of it again, it's just a short drive north to snow country ! Bye-bye, winter blues (and blahs) ! Also, body aches and pains are less frequent
and less severe - I feel so much
more spry/sprightly since moving
to a better, warmer climate !

often carries that to extremes,
hence the photo ! If you're
considering a move to Arizona,
keep in mind that the summer
heat between mid-June to mid-September can be brutal !
Lake Havasu recorded the highest temp ever recorded in Arizona in
1994 - a scorching 128° !
Phoenix high temp records
include the following -
118° - 1950/'58/'89/
'06/'11/'16/'17
119° - 2013/2017
120° - 1990
121° - 1995
122° - 1990 (4 days after
the 120° temp)
Incidentally - it usually IS a dry heat, but during the monsoon season, it
can smell/feel like a steamy sauna, with temps topping 115° and
humidity approaching 50% !

Little Tommy just passed his fifth
birthday, and he is now just tall enough to stand and pee like a man !
While he's standing there doing his 'business', a large passing truck shakes the house a bit and causes
the toilet seat and cover to fall - he howls in pain and starts screaming bloody murder ! His mother rushes
in to see what's happened, and Tommy tells her - bawling the whole time !
"I know it hurts, honey, but what do you want me to do about it ?"
"Kiss it and make it better !"

to be more and more like your
