What is the model number of your Zebco?
Try this parts list. Only one part is listed as a “bearing” although there are a few “bushings”.

One exception to requiring a license I experienced was in Glacier National Park in Montana. Surprisingly, you could fish in the park and the North Fork of the Flathead River as long as you fished from the Park side.
No room for the icehouse!
Roasted over an open fire on a stick you sure do!
Reminds me of times at the confluence of the Russian and Kenai Rivers during a Red run. These folks would show up, we called ‘em “beaners” because they looked like they came right out of an LL Bean catalog. They would wade out and begin casting into the middle of the River. Over and over, never hooking up. Meanwhile the rest of us in our rubber hip waders did what was locally known as the Kenai Flip (essentially a roll cast) with maybe 10’ of line. The fish run next to the shore for the most part so no need for a graceful back cast.
Moral of the story, focus on technique and don’t worry what you look like.
Fried in a cast iron skillet with a few of your favorite spices over a campfire alongside a mountain lake or stream.
Or better yet, as youngster, I would get up before sunrise, fish the High Sierra stream and cook a couple of my catch for breakfast over an open fire. No spices, no pan, just on a stick.
I have a avionics on my phone too. It works great.
Red, right returning helps.
I can’t tell you exactly where we were but we would fish at night. We would hang a light off of the stern and free line a live shad in the bait fish that would come to the light. We had only a few feet of line out. When the striper came to feed, we’ll hang onto your hat. We kept the drag loose and only tightened it as the striper began to run.
Just a comment on reels. When you get down into lighter gear like a 4 wt, the reel becomes pretty much a place that you store your line.
Your proposed set up sounds good.
I have a Battle III 8000 on a 12’ St Croix Mojo Surf HMF2 that I really love. I’m yet to tie into anything really large but I’m ready.
I can throw up to 6 ounces a long ways. I just have to be patient.
We use whole squid for a variety of bottom fish. Lately it’s been snapper and grouper.
Wow. That’s a great day of fishing. You said you changed techniques. Tell us about it.
Thanks for the pictures.

As far as keeping the image on your phone, so a dead battery could be an expensive proposition?
Yep you’re right. Need to remember my cable and cigarette lighter adapter or print a paper copy.
So much for technology. 😝
