So I caught this little guy last night around 9:30 p.m. on a Ned rig with a black and blue crawl. I was only there about 30 minutes but also managed to lose a rig of course. That place is a lure trap. That's the reason why I only use Hooks and Plastics. I seen a couple of other guys fishing for catfish and it looked like they did very well. I was only there for about 30 minutes but my main point is the fish are biting here at Pioneer Park. Good luck

I have been told by a lot of people that I'm what you would call an "Outside the tackle box thinker". I have wanted to catch a Pike on a fly for a long time, but I didn't have a fly rod heavy enough, and I suck at fly fishing so. Check out this homemade weighted Pike/Muskie fly I designed. That I fish on my baitcasting rod. It's made from a wine bottle cork I shaped, with a piece of pencil lead in the bottom for weight, a big jig hook with a stinger treble hook attached to it, and a lot of flashaboo. I cut the cork halfway in, so the jig hook would fit inside it, and glued that in place with superglue. Then I drilled a 3/16 hole in the back of the cork at the bottom and put in about a 1/2" long piece of 1/4 pencil lead, and glued it in place. It weighs about 1oz. so it casts great, but with the cork and weight it sinks very slowly at about 4 in. per second. My fishing partner told me when I got it out of my tackle box, I would NEVER catch anything on that Psychedelic Barbie Doll wig. On my second cast with it, I caught this fish! You can see the fly in its mouth still.

I just went out to hear what was causing a ruckus on my roof. Hundreds of blackbirds flying all around the neighborhood in huge waves. Spectacular. Wonder what's causing it. All the kids out on the street watching. Me too!!!

Was it a murder?

Since I live alone I eat out a lot.
Either at a steak house or a family type restaurant.
I can buy a whole pie for $10 at the family type restaurant.
Many to choose from but this is my favorite.
I know, I know home made is soooo much better.

One of my favorite pies. Is there a Golden Corral where you are ? I tried a new one here, many choices of everything.

Went ultralight jigging in 46 degree Carnegie Lake this afternoon on a cold, cloudy day with little wind. Saw two other fishermen catch fish 🎣. I caught and released 5 white perch, 2 yellow bullheads and an American eel with garlic night crawlers on 4 lb test line. Fish 🐟 were swirling. Saw Canada geese, mallards πŸ¦†, double crested cormorants, great egrets, great blue heron, and gulls nearby. Took photos.

Thanks for the pictures. Looked like a good day πŸ‘
