Just heard another spin on the testing from my niece.

A Co worker in the building tested positive and all 400 employees had to get tested before going back to work. No sniffles, no loss of taste just that a co worker tested positive. Isn't there a time period it takes to show up that you caught the dang crud.

The way they make it sound you instantly have the covid.

all just a bunch of "political correctness"....really sad.

What a fricking jerk Marsha. Was he mentally retarded or just nuts🥜? I almost feel like you did when we go. Sometimes I just cast out anyway and do some trolling just to have a line in the water. Next time you need a fishing partner call me and I’ll go with you. I’ll bet that’s some beautiful fishing.

Could go by the marina on any given weekend and there he would be.. Polishing the decks, washing the windows and sitting in the stern starring out at the open water. Just plain Goofy....
You are welcome any time. Great lower Niagara fishing below the falls as well...really something to see.
Be well, have a great long weekend.

Hack: I had a friend who owned a beautiful fishing boat. He invited me out for a day of fishing on the upper Niagara River. Runs between Niagara Falls and Lake Erie. That stretch of river holds many, many, species of fish that can make for a wonderful day of fishing. When I got to the marina we boarded this boat and sat around having coffee. I was very anxious to head out and catch some fish. Finally I asked him when he planned on leaving the marina and said "we're not, we can fish from here". Which was the slip the boat was in. He said he did not want to run the hours on the engines just to catch a few fish. He was saving the hours for a boat parade of all the high dollar vessels around town. Needless to say that was the last non trip we ever took together. He did call me shortly after this experience and wanted me to take him and his son out on Lake Ontario to catch some king salmon. I politelt declined.
Have a great day.

Have you ever taken somebody new on your fishing trips and regretted it after a hour? Share your stories.
I had taken a guy from work and his young son on a rental boat on a beautiful lake. After a hour of fishing he had already jugged down 7 beers. He was getting more impatient not catching any fish. At the end of the day he had finished his case of 24 beers and still not caught anything and was nasty to his poor son most of the day.

Used to have a once a year fishing trip with 2 long time friends. We all met in a location we picked on the previous years trip. It sometimes require some travel. I asked my friends if I could bring another friend this particular year. I asked the gentleman if he would like to go, on an all-expense paid fishing weekend. He, of course, was excited to come. Upon arrival he said he was very afraid of the woods, the water, the boat, the weather and my other two long time friends. (both of whom are professional in their respective fields.) He was afraid of the hotel and to stay in the room by himself. He was afraid there may be wild animals. He paced and wrang his hands and worked himself up into a veritable nervous frenzy. When finally calmed him down he said he missed his wife and his kids but had no cell service in the area. We finally had to bring him in, drive into town and let him call his wife. After speaking with her for some time we returned to the water. After about an hour out he asked me when we were going to leave for home. He watched the clock and asked frequently when we would be leaving. After this dellow ruined our entire trip and after coming in just to stop him from whining, I drove twelve straight hours just to get rid of him. By the way I drove twelve straight hours because he was afraid of highway driving and did not think he could travel in all that "traffic". Needless to say that was the end of any new "friends" on our future trips.

Take 2 tabs of an OTC antihistamine (allergy med). Your choice of brands. Stops the itching and will prevent lumps and redness. Doesn't prevent the bites, but stops your body from reacting to the venom. Four hours later take 2 more. I take two tabs before I go out as well.

You would be surprised how many of those high dollar boats go to auction after a year (+/-) of payments. Dealers pick them right back up again and resell. If you watch, on the road, you will see carriers with ten new-looking boats on board. They are heading for new locations to be resold. A very interesting business.

Hello everyone! I feel pretty ignorant asking this, but I’m a newbie to fly fishing, like wet behind the ears newbie. My question is this; is there a different method/ system/ cast, etc. for left handed fly fishing vs. right handed? Im very left hand dominant. Any help here would be appreciated please!

Suni: Welcome. I am extremely left handed. Have been fly fishing for many, many, years. First, you need to be comfortable with your gear. Second, there is no difference in technique. (Practice casting nice tight, even, loops.)
Third, and most important, enjoy being out there. You don't need any fancy gear, rods, reels, techniques or anything else.
Lastly, practice, practice practice. It is a very personal endeavor.
Enjoy,
Marsh

Ben there are several very good knot tying aids available at Cabela's as well as other shops. Check them out. They really help and provide strong and consistent knots. Good luck.

Only in collections now, sad to say. This is true nearly every where one looks now days. Craftmanship has fallen by the wayside to make room for minimal profits and high demands of box stores. There are so few companies that make the goods they sell and stand behind them, no questions asked.
I hope you can get some satisfaction. PF always had a great reputation and made quality goods for many years. I have several PF fly rods and reels pre buy out years and pre label swaps. Has always performed well under the toughest of conditions. Hope you can get some satisfaction.

Marsh

I bought a pflueger president a couple of months ago and the whole side of the bail arm cracked and broke on one side. Every attempt Ive made to get ahold of the company has gone ignored. Anyone else have issues claiming the warranty on their gear?

Return it to the store where you purchased it. These companies use a secondary warranty provider. You will spend more time and money trying to get it replaced than if you head back to the store and demand a refund or exchange. Sad, but true. Good luck.
Company names and labels are bought and sold wholesale. Quality and workmanship is long gone.

go online to your Public Service Commission and fill out a complaint including the phone number if you can get it. There will be a space for potential FRAUD reports. It works.
