Great catch. What lake were you fishing? I'm headed up to Towanda area in October and are looking for some new spots to try.

Not sure where Sardis is. I'm in middle TN and have been having good luck with panfish in the streams using small flyrod poppers. You can use them with spinning gear and a float.

Gnats and flies are pretty bad but the ticks are horrible this year...

Arjeje, you may want to look into the Navionics app for your phone as well as paper base maps.

I agree, Tim's has way too many boats during the summer. Almost got taken out by a bass boat that was coming around a blind curve doing about 80. Then you throw in the wake boats and jet skis - not fun in my book.

Hi I'm Anita and have just moved shelbyville tn . Would love to know where the good fishing is. I want to go to tims ford lake. Where's a good spot for bank fishing
.

Hi Anita - welcome to Middle Tennessee. The tail races at Tim's, Normandy and Woods are all good for bank fishing. Tims has year round trout and Normandy is seasonal.

No trout below Woods that I've heard of. Tims Ford and Normandy both have trout below the spillway. Normandy only stocks from Oct - March or April I think though.

Hopefully, it's short-lived Ivey. Just an FYI for folks. As a caregiver, some of my clients (most have plenty of money), have had the shingles vaccine. I've been told insurance doesn't cover the vaccination. Two shots are required about 3 weeks apart. The total cost -- $400. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't get the shingles vaccine. Just thought people should know about the cost. If your insurance covers this vaccine, let me know. Maybe coverage varies.

I got the Shingrix shot through the VA and it was free.

Have booked a June trip with Walsten Outpost Camps based out of Kenora, Ontario. Seven of us will be flown to their cabin on Chase Lake to spend the week fishing mainly for walleyes and northerns. I know to bring good rain gear, bug dope, camera's, and what fishing gear will work best. What I'd like to get from you folks is any advice or tips on other things to bring along, based on your similar experiences, that I may otherwise not have thought to bring along. Two of us are older geezers in our 70's, two are teens, and the other 3 are 40-50 yo's. Anything you could offer along those lines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, all........

PS: also, since this is our 1st trip with Walsten's, anything you know about your experiences with them that you care to share would be great, too.

I was up to Kipawa Lake Lodge in Quebec a few years back in May and the black flies were intense. Didn't seem to matter what kind of repellent I used. Ended up picking up some mosquito netting ponchos - worked great

Looking for fishing reports on Lake Normandy in Tennessee. Anything will help. I just moved here so I will be fishing offshore. Not able to find a used fishing boat for around $5000.00. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

You might want to try USA Marine in Manchester. They may have something in your ballpark. They are on Highway 41 between Manchester and Hillsboro. https://www.facebook.com/USA-Marine-100482278626632/ or (931) 928-2377

So I finally caved and bought a Garmin UHD 93sv and Panoptix Livescope rig. I do most of my fishing from the driver seat so my thought is to mount the 93sv and the transducer mounting pole in that area. Does anyone have any thoughts on the best way/location to mount it there or should I stick with the typical bow mount.

Western PA is full of places to fish for everything! Lakes, rivers, streams and creeks.

Where are some good walleye lakes? I'd like to stay on the NE side of PA but would be willing to travel some.
