New boat project need your help
Take a good look at Fredfish ‘s boat. Looks as if he has all the tricks there. Also looks as though he is limited to one passenger though.

One thing I might suggest for both you and Fredfish is to come up with some type of mount for the fish finder like an airline tray table in the armrest. One bad step and a fall might just take out that unit Fredfish! Check out the 80-20 website they may have some pieces to build something.

Someone Drilled a hole in my truck's gas tank
RJS maybe you should go out and meet some of those sorry sob’s. Talk to them for a while and I guarantee you will get back in your car saying to yourself “Why are these people out on the street they need to be in and institution!”

A good portion are vets that just were broken by their time in service not drugs!

Talking about the gas thieves is another matter. Presently they get treated quite leniently by the court system because some folks complain about paying taxes to support the penal system.

Remember when justice was for all? Now we have people who tried to overthrow the government getting less time than people stealing gas!

Jet skiers
I personally have run a jet ski fast nearly 65mph. Didn’t think about getting thrown and hitting soft concrete! Though this was about 6:30 am before anyone was on the lake and it was oil slick flat.

In dealing with the inconsiderate I have ALWAYS kept a wrist-rocket and ice cubes on the boat. See the ammo melts but does it’s job even on fiberglass!

I like my boat and the 2020 has better trailer with surge brakes, super lube hubs and chrome wheels. Boat was upgraded to a Mercury 50 HP Four Stroke and Lowrance Hook 2 5. Love the Mercury, easily cruises over 30 plus MPH and gets to plane nicely. Still learning fish finder but it is supposed to have Maps of CA waterways, just haven't found it yet...lol

Thinking about down the road changing out to a 12 gallon gas tank and adding a battery but that's for later!

I have a Hook2 5 also, turns out the 5 only has outlines of the waterway no contours until the 7” version. You can download the Lowrance app and see contours though. Just wish there was a way to move that info into the gps database.

I still have mom at 81. Haven’t seen her in 65 years, 8 months and 7 days. Hope I get to see her again before either of our funerals.

Fly fishing help
Just practice casting, start with a garbage can lid as a target and work smaller. Don’t forget to practice all you can on the water too! Panfish aren’t too picky about presentation fortunately.

Remember we all looked really bad to start. I remember snapping off flies on my backcast in the beginning. Go as slow as possible while keeping the line in the air.
