Gotcha, never been but 1 or 2 times a year I head in that direction to fish Pony Creek Lake near Sabetha KS

Great time this weekend rippin lips on the Bass with a buddy. First time on the lake and found some killer rock piles using my electronics that put us on some fatties right away and paid off big!

Yes, braided line is the safe bet but not necessary. Booyah baits, strike king, and live target are my favorite frog top water baits. Try reel and pause retieves with an occasional pop and pause. Then hold on tight! 😉. You usually get blow ups when you hit open water patches when fishing pads so pace and timing are everything! Good luck!

Thanks for sharing Tyvek. Really sad to see! I'm from Ontario originally. Grew up off Euclid and the 60FWY. Use to fish Prado and Guasti a lot for trout and Cats. Good times and memories! Glad to see your day wasn't a complete bust! As already shared from other post, please let us know if you find out what the heck happened at Guasti. Been years since I moved from So Cal, but never seen anything like that. 😯
