Nice looking rig JD. Do you run with the cover on the outboard, in the cold weather? I've seen that a couple times here, but wasn't sure why.

That's what I thought when I saw a couple people doing it up here Jeremy. There's a thermostat in the cooling system to control temperature, so I don't get it.

There’s no Doubt about it JD that thing will be loaded up with some hogs!! Very nice boat! Hope it warms up soon and you can get out on the water! Good luck and be safe!!

I run my cover quite often when it’s cold out Fred. Warms up better and it don’t suck air through the hood. Water cooled so it doesn’t bother that either. Just a quicker warm up time and it runs better when it’s colder outside. 150 merc.

I've seen it a couple times, in recent yrs.Randy. Where's the airbox intake on yours? Most of what looks like vents on lots of different motors, must be fake, styling features.

I have a cover on my outboard, it is a Tuff Skin. It is vented so you can run your motor with it in place
