Wd4ity, if you already have the motor trimmed in all the way, try a small "Doel-Fin "type stabilizer. I've seen them do wonders bringing the bow down. That and put as much of your movable weight up front as possible. I've got my 14ft deep V running pretty flat even though I fish alone.
That's the problem, I can't get the bow to lift. The Panfish has two seats, I sit in the front and from there I operate the throttle and steer with the stick. I fish and drive from the same seat. I'm 6'2' and weight 250 pounds. All the dry storage is up front as well so most of the weight is up front. It does have a 12 gallon fuel tank and two batteries in the aft section but it doesn't have the weight of a bigger engine The boat is designed to use an engine of between 20 & 40 hp. I can't use that much hp on the lake I fish. Ten horse limit. It's slow but I don't have to worry about jet ski's on that lake either. It does seem rather slow when my last boat would run 60 mph. The wake is terrible from the front end plowing. I've tried trimming the motor up but it just doesn't do it. Now I'm on a diet trying to get more speed out of my boat.
