Perch
We always called them "Bunny Boots" and bought them at the military surplus store.
Were incredibly warm

When I was stationed in Germany we were issued a pair of what we called Mickey Mouse boots. These look like the desert version of the same boot. And yes I wish I still had a pair of those.

They are one of the original Korean Boots. I had them when I was stationed in Korea in the late sixties. Clumsy but were the warmest boots I ever owned. You could wear a regular pair of work socks and your feet would be warm no matter the temperature. They had air valves that you could inflate for a snug fit with no chaffing. Wish I still had them.

Extreme cold weather inflatable boots, we always call them Mickey Mouse boots. They will keep your feet warm in -30*. We were issued them while doing -30* testing of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Pretty much every thing on my body was cold except my feet. The chamber where we tested was in North Al. and we did it during July and August so we would walk out of -30* chamber into 90* heat and high humidity. talk about a shock to the system.

Air is the best insulator that's why they work so good. All insulators that work worth a crap are good because they take up space just like AIR. It is like how it is not a good conductor. Sound...heat...RF...etc all travell fastest through a solid...then a liquid and slowest through AIR.

Looks like the boots the Air Force used to issue for cold climates. They nicknamed them "Mickey Mouse" boots. I only saw one pair but they looked a lot like the ones pictured. Marines got jungle boots.
