Not sure of the spelling ( pump tent ) green one man and sleeping in the back yard. Yep remember that well.
No tents - we only slept out on dry nights
pretty long parade that's moving slowly
what kind of fish are they?
As a kid, going out for the day and being told "you better be back at supper time". Parents had no idea or concern where I went or what I did.
Sleeping out in the back yard - no chaperones
[quote=plumbob]Well today I learn from the boob tube that we should be wearing gloves while doing the laundry. Wake up America how did we ever get this far without wearing gloves to do the laundry?
I missed that one about wearing gloves to do laundry. Was it recommended by health experts? If so, the pres will probably get on board with it in a month or two and then he’ll “authorize” it as if it was his idea.
I'm not offended. And if it's friendly banter that's fine with me. - go at it till your hearts content.
Yo guys - this started as some light humor and has now digressed into a pissing contest. You need to settle down.
Hats off to 3M – they were prepared. Based on prior experience with SARS, H1N1, Ebola, etc., they built surge capacity – idle machinery installed for emergency response. They kicked into max production on January 21st, doubling N95 mask production in 2 months to about 100 million masks a month. And, they have not raised their price of around 85 cents each. Unfortunately, distributors took advantage of supply & demand, price gouging up to $7 each – unconscionable. Hoping the gov brings the hammer down on them.
I think that's the standard most everywhere (except maybe China)
That's not the case here - obituaries in the paper show multiple causes - many non virus
Blue claws are certainly more work but to me - tastier
There ya go - nature in action
That’s what happened in 1918. The flu subsided in summer then wreaked havoc in the fall. We have the benefit of history to make wiser decisions now.
