You are a very methodical person. I do somewhat the same thing but in a truncated manner. If I am going to fish for sand bass and that for only an hour or two, i simply throw the fish in the bottom of the boat to die. Otherwise I will put other fish in an ice chest.

Most of the places with a ramp or ramps, also has a cleaning station. I filet the meat off the body, flip it over and filet it off the skin. I throw the body, with skin and guts into the lake for the turtles and crappie. There is usually a water source and I wash the finished filet off there. I usually carry ziplock bags for these filets to carry home in an ice chest. Just Sayin...RJS

The Real Deal. Colors look very much like a minnow. Pretty much the color I start with in fresh water.

Put several loops of line on the spool and then tie your knot. Should end the slipping.

When the length of a rod is shortened due to breakage, the action of the rod changes as well. I usually will only re-tip with a new eyelet if I have lost 3" of the rod or less.

Pflueger President combo with a medium rod. You'll still have about $15 left for bait. I have Pflueger reels that are over 25 years old and preform as well as the day I bought them.

Casting reel for muskies. You need a heavy rod as well. Throwing 10" baits hoping for a 50" plus musky calls for heavier equipment.

I do all my fishing using Power Pro braid. My spinning reels are all loaded with 10#. I have 80# on my musky rig, using my Pflueger bait caster. On extremely clear lakes I use a fluoro leader, otherwise it is moss green Power Pro for all fishing.

Good for both of you. What time is lunch?

Wolf River at Fremont is producing. Fish Wolf River rigs with minnows or jigs with a minnow. Where are you located in Wisconsin?

Sorry, but I don't remember and I threw the remainder of the spool in the garbage.

Made the mistake of buying cheap braid from Amazon. Never again. Tangled, broke and wasn't uniform. You get what you pay for. I use Power Pro and have never had a problem. It's like buying a Yugo instead of a Ford.

The newer Power Pro doesn't fade as bad as the original. If does, I take a black magic marker and re-color the first 5 or 6 feet of line.

Nice slabs. Water temps are still too cold here in Wisconsin.

It cost roughly 20 to $25 to rearm them every 3 years. I bought mine on sale for $70 at Cabelas/Bass Pro. They are comfortable to wear and you have freedom of movement.

What baits do you prefer. I fish for channel catfish in Wisconsin using cut-bait, crawlers, raw shrimp and chicken breast strips marinated in red jello powder and anise. I mostly drift fish area lakes.
