You are a very methodical person. I do somewhat the same thing but in a truncated manner. If I am going to fish for sand bass and that for only an hour or two, i simply throw the fish in the bottom of the boat to die. Otherwise I will put other fish in an ice chest.

Most of the places with a ramp or ramps, also has a cleaning station. I filet the meat off the body, flip it over and filet it off the skin. I throw the body, with skin and guts into the lake for the turtles and crappie. There is usually a water source and I wash the finished filet off there. I usually carry ziplock bags for these filets to carry home in an ice chest. Just Sayin...RJS
