No, it's not a "Q". Tell your wife that God sent you a TV to watch while you fish,

I've used raw dead shrimp an just thread on hook. How do you hook live shrimp 🤔

I have had success with live shrimp two ways. First off use a very strong small wire hook, like a heavy duty bream hook. Run the barb just under the horn where the brain has a void. Don't hook the brain, (dark spot inside the shell)

The other place is 1/4" from the tail, takes a hook big enough to go from the bottom out the top of the back. I try to avoid the vein you see. Once again as small as possible thin wire hook. The hotter it is the quicker they die. Make sure to use an insulated bait bucket and aerator. The pic is a sample what I catch in the fall/winter with my cane pole and a cork. 2' deep in a creek that dumps into a small bay or flats. The photo may be a rerun from last November.

I also noticed that. Personally mentioned DDay to 5 people that did not have a clue what I was talking about. One guy said Oh yea, wasn't that a war or something.

Sad Times,

Anyone know some good fishing on and around the fish camp condos just before the island. It's a barrier island I believe. Fish that are around and bait they are responding to etc. Thanks in advance for any ALL help

Try for specks and flounder while the tide is moving through the sandbars west of the bridge. Those people you see standing up out of their boat are fishing the current between two sand/oyster bars. Oh, BTW I used to fly over the sound alot and there are numerous schools of very big bull sharks this time of year.

Kept these this past Saturday. I let four go that were legal, but kinda skinny. Caught on minnows and cane pole in Dead Lake before the dummy corral got left open and the wakes just kept coming.

Some good eating for sure. do you catch your crickets or buy them

I buy the crickets and keep what I don't use for next time. I built a cricket paradise to fatten them up in. it also toughens them when you feed them for a week or two.

The rivers around here rose with the week of rain we had, but I managed to cull enough for a meal Saturday. Caught these in N lake with crickets. The Sacalait were exactly 9" long.

Going to n myrtle beach hog inlet next week. Any tips for catching flounder?

Bull Minnows if you can catch or buy them. If plastic try a bright pink Gulp and lead head. They love it down here.

Don’t know but kinda good looking in its own rights.

It is a Grunt. Usually more green than the pic. May just be the water here that determines color.

I found these Sacalait and bream Saturday on the same sunken log as last week in the "N" lake. No wind
today so I could keep my minnow down longer.

3 rd time fishing since I moved to Texas a few years ago. Trying to get back in the swing of it after many years of not fishing. Was out with a few friends and their 12 year old grandson caught this Black drum 40-50 pounds! It sure was fun to watch I’m reel it in!

WOW! Definitely close or most likely over 50#. Go Grandson and don't ever stop fishing!
