Yep, definitely hog fish.good eating but it has to be 16” in Florida to keep it.
It's a consensus: Hogfish which is a species of wrasse. I caught it off the jetty in Venice Florida.

It is a Grunt. Usually more green than the pic. May just be the water here that determines color.

No ideal but sure is interesting
Heard back from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, FourchonLa and ripogenu were spot on, It is a Hogfish, Lachnolaimus maximus, with sub-adult coloration. Thanks for your responses. 🤙🏼
