Henderson Lake, Big Alabama bayou, Beau Bayou, Lake Gavenburg to name a few places. Those are the places I catch, some better than others at times. Good luck.
Welcome to the stage. Visit the F&G website, look up the locations of the reefs they dropped in the lake, and get the location installed on your fish finder. Or ask some of the store's that are on the lake for advice. Good luck.

Are there any bluegill and crappie at Avocado Lake? and if so where's the best place to fish at Avocado Lake?
Welcome to the stage, and I would bet that they do. Even a small puddle has 'bluegill's'. How big and how many is so different from lake to lake. Our basin is 75 miles long and over 15 miles wide and in one of the small lakes there, I will catch 5 smaller or so to every Crappie that is over 3/4 pd. Good luck
Hate trying to get the lure out of the tree, and find out that a huge wasp nest is inches away, and they are not happy!!!
Night crawlers are sold by the each, about $.25 each. They are big! I did the same with my boys and purchased European night crawlers to get started. We had plenty of them, and many eggs. I built a box to house more, and my boys wanted to help, so they bought some 'peat' moss. Bad idea, it burnt them alive.
The way it goes, is you pay or don't!! The law is in his favor, so a lawsuit is out. You can pay the bill and sell. OMC (outdoor Marine Corp.) went out of business many years ago, and parts are real hard to find, and some are expensive. The cost is very expensive for any of the sizes in today's marketplace. So it goes back to the 'pay or don't'. As many said take them and sell them, but it might take some time for all three to sell. What price did you think he was going to charge?
My motor I bought last year, a 40 Tohatsu, installed was 6700 American dollars. Brand new 4 stroke motor.
If you looking for a place to fish, try F&G and go the the page with their gps sunken artificial reefs. Easy to find as long as you have a fish finder that has gps. A phone will get you there but how deep are the fish or if there is any on that reef. Welcome to the Stage, and if you go and catch, we like to see pictures.
I read that wrong, I thought fishing shorts do the work for you!! Maybe just telling me the bait I should use or where to cast my lure, is the least I would expect them to do.
Like most, I wear sun glasses, expensive, but well worth it. Not into gloves but I wear a hat, and a stretch type face mask.
Fished the lake before, all I caught was 'croakers'. So with that, welcome to the stag and good luck to ya!
In one of the archery fish tournaments, they had in Michigan. After the weight in came the thought of what to do with all those dead carp. One of the guys had a pasture and a backhoe. He took them home and buried them next to a rather large oak tree. Years later the Oak died, and he cut it up for firewood. One night he loaded the fireplace with some pieces. When it started to burn, it smelled like he was burning the fish, not wood. Yuk!!
You might try the store in Port Vincent. They have a lot of boaters coming in from the Amite. The Amite has a lot of good fish. Maybe just a call to them. North of Gonzales. Good luck. And welcome to the stage.
Keep it simple and to the point, 'knot tester' or maybe 'knot yours', somthing that people can remember. Good luck!
