New here. Just moved to Walker, La. I’m looking for places to bank fish. Don’t have a boat, yet. Any advice for bass, sac a lait, other good eats around Livingston Parish.

Welcome to the stage Jake. Don’t fish much if any around Livingston parish but have attached a link with information all around you. Check out the different tabs and comments. You might try the store in Port Vincent. They have a lot of boaters coming in from the Amite. The Amite has a lot of good fish. Maybe just a call to them. North of Gonzales. Good luck. And welcome to the stage.

Since you don't have a boat might want to try suburban ponds in Walker. Look on google maps & fishbrain. Ran into a guy at Wal-Mart in Walker that sez he caught 3 lb. bass about a mile from Wal Mart (3 ponds). This is not too hard to figure out. At least this will give you a start. I also heard from church usher in French Settlement there is a place on Hwy.444. Again, look on your maps. Just don't walk on people's property.
