2 more today that got to watch us fish. Mating season for gators is on. These were 10 - 11'
I use 15 on my baitcasters
"CROAKERS" I need not say more. Once they are hooked up, fling it and then occasionally jerk your rod. That will make them croak and the catch is on. Just watch out for the seagulls, they will try to steal your bait and you might even catch them. Enjoy.....
Braid on my spinning reels and fluorocarbon on my baitcasters. I will put a fluorocarbon leader on my braid if needed and use a uni knot and have had no problem with that knot. Good luck....
We've got gators down here in south central Texas. They never get aggresive, but that territorial growl can be an eye opener. Biggest one we've seen was about a 16'er.
The morning is my time for topwater baits, usually a spook. But I've always got at least 2 poles with spinner baits on them. The only reason i could see about early morning bites is that there is less pressure at that time. Keep track of the major and minors and the barometric pressure.
Our nearest lake is up to 63, but the lake we fish the most is almost 70. Couple weeks till the topwaters will start hitting.
I'll see what i can do, going friday morning.
Just wanted to say hi, slayin bass every chance i have....
