yes this is a fantastic knott it has never failed me also use a clinch knot as well but i run the line thru the hook or lure twice instead of one it has never slipped or broke as well use this knott on larger lures that you cant pass thru the loop on a polarmer knott !

yery affordable to ouw as well as pretty much maintenance free note DONT BUY one under 14 foot in length smaller jhon boats are too tipsy Turvey , unless you plan on putting it in say a 1acre pond or less to row or paddle around .they make excellent riverboats with a small short shaft outboard or short shaft trolling motor as well as easy to launch from just about any boat ramp p.s. some smaller lakes as well have limited horsepower. hope this helps you out

you got it brother going to use a drift sock as well on lake Erie, winds can push aluminum boats around pretty good know that for a fact!!! This pontoon is a 16 ft. 55 lb. thrust trolling motor with a 50 h.p. , fishing pkg. live well /fishfinder upgrade largest pontoons on the market 6 in. draft, if winds are over 12 miles an hour or gusts of 15 will cancel the trip up there, or be forced to fish in bay area only not particular what species of fish to catch just want to catch fish, if you know what I mean thank you for all the input & info

absolutely long as you get a good quality trolling battery, would advise a trolling motor with a built-in battery gage just to be safe, so you won't run out of juice. you don't say if your fishing current water or lake consider windy days as well before you go out as well.
