I’ve never seen a dead bass at our weigh ins. It must have been a bad day or something wasn’t done right.

Nice rig Andy. Looks like a no-weight set up. I like that too. Swim baits and spinners you got to pay complete attention all the time. A weightless worm doesn’t get dropped very often.

The last post I remember, you had a little jig on a bobber in cold water. How’d you fish the ring worm?

Good job man. Cold water fishing is a challenge. When you nail a big one though, it’s easier to keep a cold fish out of the stumps.

Couple years ago in February, here in Ohio, we had five days in a row of 60* weather. Tied on a purple worm and caught a bunch of scooters, you know, so cold all they did was bend their tail and hold it here while you cranked them in. 😬

We had a couple days of 50* and one of 60* last week and I said I can’t stand it and went fishing. Thanks to a number of posts on cold water fishing here on the Forum and several in the Fur Fish and Game magazine, I have gained confidence in cold water fishing and have realized that bass season never really ends, guy in Pennsylvania ice fishes for bass and caught a 9 pounder!

So I hit my favorite spots - the ice had just melted, and fished a big spinner with a big trailer bouncing the bottom real slow, blades barely turning, and caught a one pounder, a three and a half, and this four plus pounder - which actually jumped three times. !

Were the minnies on a jig? Some sort of spinner?

Haven’t seen them. What I want is one with cameras fore and aft. 😬

Make the trip personally, with a truck that can pull it and a toolbox to fix lights and tires. Boots on the ground. Take cash, plus a buddy with a CC. Tell them you expect a receipt. If it’s a scam, you’ll never actually get an address. If it’s a robbery, your bud’s gonna have to throw down on them. 😬
