Made 1/4 and 5/16 oz jigs today thatโ€™s the two sizes I use the most of around the dams.
I heat the jig with a propane torch and then dip it into the powder paint and hang it to cool

I think I do the 1/4 in the heat 4 seconds and the 5/16. 6 seconds and then dip them.

A somewhat cheaper and itโ€™s hard to find a 1/4 oz jig with a 2/0 hook in my area. And fishing around the dams can be snaggy.

I really like the idea of the torch to heat them. We use a toaster oven at the fishing club, but we're doing a couple hundred at a time. This is great for small numbers, I'll pass this on to my brother too.

It takes a couple jigs to get the hang of it ,too hot and it bubbles and turns black to cool and the powder wonโ€™t set and be shiny and hard.

Those look good Mike, Iโ€™ve never used that type of paint but will have to give it a go.

We set the oven at 400*, heat the jig, then dip a bake some more, so you coul probably heat it enough to stick then melt the beads with the torch, but if your method works for you , great. They really look good.

Way better than finger nail polish or spray paint. In my opinion
The red , white, and black Powder I got from harbor freight fairly cheap and in a good size container. The other colors I have not so cheap ,got them from the pro shop. In a 1/4 of the size container for twice as much. I think it is pro cure powder paint. And the harbor freight stuff works as well as the other.
