So just use # 2 or 3 crosslock style and don't give it another thought. If you are not catching fish it is because your depth or speed was off. Either 1 or the other or both.

If it were me looking a place to bank fish I would try Jordan lake. There's several places at Jordan that has I'll call ponds even though it is parts of the lake where boats can not get into. I never see anyone fishing these,some are several acres in size. All are where hiways cross the lake. Plus there's several smaller lakes around wake county that you can rent boats from. Last week I was on Jordan a saw a couple man/wife fishing from a little peddle type boat. They stayed close to the ramp but caught some nice fish.
