If you could only use one lure for bass for the rest of your life, what would it be? I am torn between a Tex rig and a 5” senko... but leaning towards the senko! I’ve caught soooo many bass , big & small on em I’ve lost count 10 years ago. The photo is of a 5lb smallmouth caught in a 5”, wacky rigged, green pumpkin black flake Senko in Tennessee last year during a tournament... other than the Tex rig, a swimjig with keiteck trailer is runner up 🏄🏼‍♂️🎣

one lure?
salty super fluke
can fish it weightless close to and on top of water
can fish it with splitshot about 8 or ten inches above the fluke, keeping the fluke just off the bottom
or can clip weight against the hook to put fluke on the bottom
my bass killer for any condition
the 11 pounder you see in my avvy was a victim of a salty super fluke

A tube. Ive caught small one and big ones. Standard 3 1/2" tube or larger flipping tubes. I'm partial to Dry Creek custom tube baits. I am on the pro staff, but have been using tubes since Bobby Garland Baits in the 1980s. So many varities and colors and sizes. Love the wacky Senko and big Texas rigged worms, also.

Agree with the senko, wacky rig. Fishing northern Michigan a 5 lb bass is huge. But the are out there.

Used to always answer a tube to that question. Recently I have become partial to a soft swimbait.
