Those who have wronged or angered us must be forgiven. Some don't realize that the forgiveness is for yourself so you can again have peace in your heart. When you can recognize and practice this you will find that anger won't be such an issue. That's not to say we will never be angered it will just make it easier to release the anger when it happens.

Why do i always get bad advice from local anglers ?

If everything the guy has looks brand new and top of the line he has paid to look the part. A true fisherman doesn't replace all of his gear at once. I'd much rather take advice from someone who has well worn equipment that someone who looks like they just stepped out of a magazine add.

I'm guessing you have a round bottom v bow Jon boat. I wouldn't put anything bigger than a 9.9 on it. It will probably push you faster than you want at wot.

LIFE VESTS [ PFD's ]

I've never had one but have talked to several people that do and they like them. There are two different kinds out one that self inflates when submerged, and one with a rip cord you pull when needed. Just make sure you keep a check on the dates on the inflation cartridges.

19' Bow Rider as an upper chesapeake fishing boat

I've fished Chesapeake bay a lot in the past, and if your going to travel 10 miles on the water I would strongly recommend a larger boat. These guys are not trying to scare you, that water can go from great to oh crap in a hurry. Ten miles is a long ride in oh crap conditions on a 19 foot boat.
